The men of Eastridge have several activities throughout the year which serve as a time for fellowship, service, and an opportunity to get to know one another better.
24 Hours of Prayer
The 24 Hours of prayer ministry team facilitates a full day (24 straight hours) of non-stop prayer for the body at Eastridge. Different members of the congregation spend 1-2 hours of the day in prayer lifting up requests and praises that are submitted from the congregation. The day of prayer is sponsored by the Men’s Ministry, but the ministry has been expanded to have 24 hours of prayer for men, women and families of Eastridge. The vision of the 24 Hours of Prayer ministry is to encourage the congregation to pray with and for their brothers and sisters. The time of prayer also helps in building bonds between the men or women that pray together so that the congregation may be encouraged and so that God may be glorified through the time that is spent in communication with the Father.
The Men’s Breakfast is a men-only breakfast that is held once a quarter on Saturday morning. The breakfast allows men the opportunity to fellowship and talk with one another while enjoying a hot meal. Each breakfast ends with a short talk by one of the men that is focused on our roles as fathers, husbands, and leaders in the church and community.
Men’s Christmas Party
An event that allows the Men of Eastridge to fellowship during an evening of dinner and games. The party typically lasts 2-3 hours on a weeknight a few weeks before Christmas. The party usually also includes an “ugly tie exchange”. Ties that are received during the exchange are worn by participants during services on the following Sunday. The Men’s Christmas party is designed to involve men of all ages and backgrounds at Eastridge in an informal setting where they can get to know and encourage other men from the congregation.
A men's "retreat" known as an "Advance" is held once a year and provides an opportunity of fellowship, study, and prayer. Come be a part of this group of men that are striving to walk in the Light.
The highway trash clean up ministry is responsible for cleaning the frontage along FM3549 between HWY276 and HWY66. The ministry provides the Men of Eastridge an opportunity for fellowship, food (breakast) and stewardship to the community of Rockwall. This ministry also provides a good venue for men to introduce their children to one of many ways that they can show service to others.
