Interacting as a family is important to us at Eastridge. Throughout the year, we have various activities where the whole church comes together for food, games, and activities, such as our 4th of July cookout. These activities take a lot of planning, preparation, setup and cleanup. Help make these events a success by volunteering to help!
This class is for those who are thinking about placing membership or have recently become members and would like to learn more about Eastridge. Participants are encouraged to attend first service, and then the class begins during Bible class and continues into second service. You'll learn about where our church has come from, as well as plans for the future, and get a chance to ask questions. Afterward, you are invited to stay for our 5th Sunday potluck meal, and you'll get a chance to meet with our Elders during a dessert fellowship.
During the school year, we offer dinner for nominal charge every Wednesday night. Serving begins at 6:30, just prior to our 7:15 Bible classes. Volunteers are needed for meal preparation on Wednesday morning, as well as setup, serving, and clean-up Wednesday evening. This provides a great time of fellowship for the people that come to eat and for the ones that work in the kitchen. It also provides a great environment to get to know people and strengthen existing relationships.
Sunday Morning Coffee
Before our first service begins, our team of volunteers are busy in the kitchen preparing coffee and light snacks in the kitchen. This helps provide a great time of food and fellowship on Sunday morning before and after worship and Bible class. If you enjoy working in the kitchen and serving others, volunteer to help with Sunday morning coffee! (Volunteers will be able to attend our late service for worship.)
5th Sunday Meals
Any month that has a fifth Sunday is a special time at Eastridge. We have a church wide potluck after second service. While all the food is prepared by our members, a lot of help is still needed in the kitchen, as well as for setup and cleanup. Help make our 5th Sunday meals a success by volunteering to help at these events.
The Eastridge Preschool ministry is designed to benefit the young families at Eastridge and our surrounding community. Its purpose is to provide a faith-based quality childcare program for 2, 3, and 4 year olds. This program will allow parents to have a place to leave their child for a few hours each week, insuring that the child will be surrounded by loving Christian staff dedicated to helping with the intellectual, social, emotional, physical and spiritual development of their child. This program will be a gathering place for children not only from Eastridge, but from the surrounding areas.
If you have an interest in any of these minsitries or questions, please send an email to our Ministry Leaders to learn more or get involved.
